2. ALLIED HEALTH COORDINATOR
Blairlogie Living & Learning is a not for profit organisation providing supports to people living with a disability. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an allied health professional to join our team.
Blairlogie is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The organisation provides a range of services and supports to people aged between 12 and 65 years, including therapy supports.
We are looking for a dynamic Allied Health Coordinator to lead the operations of our modern, fully equipped, creative therapy space.
You will have some previous experience working in an Allied Health Environment.
The position would suit an Allied health practitioner including Occupation Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or a Speech Therapist.
You will organise, implement and facilitate individual and/or group programs /services designed by an allied health practitioner.
You will support the initial contact process including taking calls, and scheduling/confirming appointments in the client management system.
You will be providing administrative support for allied health practitioners including ordering and maintaining equipment and environments, information gathering and provide professional development/training as appropriate to staff.
Previous experience in a disability setting will be highly regarded.
Key Selection Criteria
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
1. Have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Or Equivalent)
2. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. A good sense of social justice and be committed to human rights
4. Ability to establish and build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
5. Quality outcome focussed
6. Extensive knowledge of NDIS including principles, services, pricing guide
7. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Strong planning skills including sound time management skills
9. Experience in providing client support and allied health assistant services in person
Must have a Victorian Driver’s License and vehicle.
